Frisco ISD is expanding Virtual Academy offerings, has amended the 2020-21 school year calendar and will start the first 3 weeks of the year virtually. Families will also have an opportunity to update their student's instructional environment July 27-30.

Frisco ISD collaborates with local police to keep schools safe, but given recent events and threats within and around our community, we urge parents to remind their children that words matter and can have serious consequences.
Frisco ISD will extend the suspension of all in-person classes through at least April 3 in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. Campuses and District offices will remain closed while teachers continue to provide virtual instruction. Learn more:
With 100 percent of precincts reporting, unofficial results show the Tax Ratification Election passed with 58 percent of the vote. The bond proposition passed with 61 percent. More:
Due to inclement weather and power outages, in-person and virtual academy classes have been canceled for Wednesday, Feb. 17 and Thursday, Feb. 18. Thursday will not be an asynchronous virtual learning day.

Starting this school year, Frisco ISD is utilizing dogs that can detect gun powder to further enhance safety and security at our schools. The dogs, which can sniff out ammunition and explosives, are making random visits to school parking lots, hallways and more.
Frisco ISD is working hard to ensure each student has access to the tools they need to be successful in eLearning. This week, FISD has distributed more than 3200 Chromebooks to students across the District.
