We DO NOT have an active shooter & NO ONE is hurt at Bullard High School or any other school in Fresno. This was hoax call and there is no danger. Bullard & Gibson Elementary are currently on lockdown and officers are on scene.

Over 80 catalytic converters were recovered today by Northeast Detectives thanks to a tip from a member of the community who suspected someone of buying and selling catalytic converters.
UPDATE: Fresno Police Department Homicide detectives have arrested an 18-year-old man believed to be responsible for the murder of Fresno street vendor Lorenzo Perez.
We are aware of the sideshows occurring in our City. The recklessness of these events endanger those who are participating & innocent persons who may be driving by. We are committed to identifying the organizers & participants in sideshows and we will hold them accountable.

Narcotics detective K-9 Charlie, would like to take some time to paws and reflect on a special member of our community. Charlie received a handcrafted knitted blanket which will make for some paw-fect naps after ruff days of sniffing 😉.

The Fresno PD Downtown Policing Unit (DPU) is proud to present their new electric Trek E-Bikes. The goal is to improve response time and cover more distance in the Downtown area.
When officers are on calls where children are involved, they often provide a stuffed animal to bring an extra smile or comfort to that child. Today, the ASSISTEENS from the Assistance League of Fresno, visited police headquarters to deliver 500 teddy bears for our officers!

McLane High School is currently on lockdown due to reported gunfire. Officers are on scene and have not located any evidence of a shooting. Officers are searching the campus as a precautionary measure. We will update when we have additional information.

Members of FPD Crisis Negotiations Team, Fire department, and American Ambulance responded and remained on scene for nearly an hour as they communicated with a person in crisis. Thank you to all present who never gave up, and saw hope when someone else felt they had none.

A few days before Christmas, our Shop with a Cop day took place. It looked a little different due to Covid restrictions but our elves still got the job done! Officers took wish lists, shopped for kids and then hand-delivered them to kids in local shelters. ❤️🚓
