Falcons 2 losses this season are from the 4-1 Lions, and the 3-2 Jaguars (who just beat the Bills).
We didn’t get blown out by them, but they did show there is a gap between the more elite teams and the us.
I think we can beat any average to above average team.

Justin Fields has a fan base. The Falcons need to fill seats and Fields is an upgrade over Ridder. Instantly you’re improving the QB position, filling more seats, and keeping your 1st round pick to address an edge rusher. It’s a no brainer IMO. Even if Fields flops it’s low risk

This is a testament to Ryan Nielsen being unprepared the last 2 games. Thinking they would cake walk there QBs.
Nielsen has been great, but the last 2 weeks the defense has been exposed.
They also gave up almost 30 points in the 2nd half today.

Arthur Smith never wanted Ridder as a starting QB. Smith wanted Jackson. Terry Fontenot convinced ownership that pursuing Jackson wasn’t in the best interest. Fontenot gave Smith Heineke along with Ridder. Sure Smith wanted Ridder as a backup, Fontenot never had a plan for the QB

Lamar Jackson is going to be an FA next year most likely and they’ll still have plenty of money. Ridder is a placeholder for him or a rookie in the draft in 2024, if he proves he’s more valuable then this regime is in a great position. If not, next offseason will be more wild
I think so many people are missing this part. This isn’t one of those “Ridder or die” scenarios that people seem to want to make this out to be. Ridder is simply getting his shot. If he doesn’t take advantage, they’ll still be in a great position to get a big named QB

I’m guilty of disdaining Ridder last week. We want not only to win, but to win with excitement. Ridder has shown he can win, but for a fan base whose witnessed Vick, almost traded for Watson, and rumored to trade for Lamar it was such a tease. Ridder got the shit end unfairly
I truly don’t understand some of the disdain in the

Didn’t get the chance to start until the final 4 games — he improved in every single one. He learned for a year in Arthur Smith’s system, now has a much much better team around him.
