Biden tells Dem govs he thinks people will be shocked when the first state tries to arrest a woman for crossing state lines to get an abortion.
"I don't think people believe that's going to happen. But its going to happen," he said.
Thank you
@yamiche
for respectfully allowing me to finish my questions.
You absolutely deserve to ask yours.
Very classy of
@jessbidgood
for deferring to Yamiche💪
In response to my question about the National Strategic Stockpile, the president says the reason that Florida has had 100 percent of its requests for supplies fulfilled, is because the government there advocates for itself better than other states.
NEW: WH says in release these lawmakers will be on Trump impeachment team:
Congressman Doug Collins
Congressman Mike Johnson
Congressman Jim Jordan
Congresswoman Debbie Lesko
Congressman Mark Meadows
Congressman John Ratcliffe
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik
Congressman Lee Zeldin
Several advisers to Trump admitted in private conversations last week that President Trump was losing to Joe Biden, despite the campaign's attempts to discredit public polling.
“The problem with the campaign was the candidate,” one told me.
ARTICLE:
"I don't think people believe that's going to happen. But it's going to happen, and it's going to telegraph to the whole country that this...a gigantic deal," Biden told Dem govs of abortion-related arrests.
Bernie Sanders opens up his remarks at a union meeting by telling Michigan workers that Donald Trump is a "liar" who made false promises, including that he will protect their health care as a candidate and is trying to take it away from them now.
This is the street party/protest that is on the back part of the

Loeffler firmly on message, turning almost every response into opportunity to brand him "radical liberal Raphael Warnock" and redirect questions to her opponents' past comments and sermons, regardless of the question she was asked.
Now the president says that stimulus negotiations are back on.
"After that we got back...we started talking again."
He says that aid to airlines and direct payments to Americans are on the table.
Pelosi by the way has accused Trump of just wanting his name on checks.
Biden on why he won't be doing a news conference with Putin:
"This is not a contest about who can do better in front of a press conference or try to embarrass each other. It's about making myself very clear what the conditions are to get a better relationship are with Russia."
President Trump in his RNC acceptance speech at the White House just promised a coronavirus vaccine "before the end of the year, or maybe even sooner."
Biden says that "in the coming weeks" there will be more guidance on what the vaccinated can and cannot do.
He did not offer further clarification on when in the coming weeks that would be.
Vice President Kamala Harris at the Biden administration's Summit for Democracy: "Here in the United States, we know that our democracy is not immune from threats. January 6 looms large in our collective conscience."
Trump is now opining about the Supreme Court, which he appointed three of the current nine justices to. "I'm not happy with the Supreme Court. They are not stepping up....The Supreme Court has let us down so far, but maybe they'll come back."
NEW: The anti-Trump Republican Accountability Project is dialing up pressure on GOP lawmakers who objected to the certification of the 2020 presidential election.
It's spending $1M on a first round of ads criticizing those lawmakers -- with more to come.
To those asking how much of a "victory lap" on the Mueller investigation this rally would ve, Trump is still talking about it. He just attacked Dems for "ridiculous bulls***" and partisan probes.
The president explicitly called on Congress to pass Cassidy-Sinema in his speech.
Notable, because this is the first time President Trump has urged lawmakers to approve a specific paid leave bill in a
#SOTU
or address to a joint session of Congress.
Hillary as Queenmaker? At least two Democrats running for president consulted Hillary Clinton before announcing their candidacies, I'm told: Kamala Harris and Amy Klobuchar. My latest on the 2020 election:
President Biden spoke with President Zelensky late last night. Biden said in a statement that he would be meeting with G7 leaders today & the U.S. and its Allies and partners will impose "severe sanctions on Russia. We will continue to provide support and assistance to Ukraine."

PRESIDENT TRUMP: "Hunter, you're a loser. Why did you get $1.5 billion, Hunter? And your father was never considered smart. He was never considered a good senator. He was only a good vice president because he understood how to kiss Barack Obama's ass."
NEW:
@KatrinaPierson
tells me in a statement that she "never heard President Trump ever use the derogatory language that Omarosa claims" and "never confirmed the existence of an alleged tape from ‘The Apprentice’ to her as she said today"
At a dinner in Paris that was closed to press, after Turkey said it passed an audio tape of Jamal Khashoggi's killing to the United States, President Trump sat next to Turkish President Erdogan. The White House confirms to me that they discussed Khashoggi:
MORE: "[T]hese Members of Congress have provided guidance to the White House team ... The President looks forward to their continued participation and is confident that the Members will help expeditiously end this brazen political vendetta on behalf of the American people."
The jacket that FLOTUS had on as she boarded the plane for Texas: a $39 Zara military jacket that said in large print on the back, "I really don't care, do u?"
Notable: GOP is taking aim at charges Trump is a racist on night 1
Herschel Walker
"It hurt my soul to hear the terrible names that people call Donald. The worst one is racist. I take it as a personal insult that people would think I'd have a 37-year friendship w/a racist."
"This has been a whirlwind," Nikki Haley says of the GOP primary at her final rally before Super Tuesday.
Haley is in Fort Worth now. She was in Houston earlier today. 🇨🇱
NEW: Senior official tells me it's a "flat out lie" the WH would leak info that would threaten Americans' safety. "When the Speaker of the house and about 20 others from Capitol Hill decide to book their own commercial flights to Afghanistan, the world is going to find out."
Pelosi's office says she was preparing to travel to Afghanistan commercially until the "Administration" leaked her plans. “In light of the grave threats caused by the President’s action, the delegation has decided to postpone the trip..."
Klobuchar becomes the first candidate to take advantage of networks' need to fill unexpectedly open airtime.
Says the results aren't in, but it's clear she and her supporters are punching above their weight in Iowa.
"We are bringing this ticket to New Hampshire," she says.
Sen. Lindsey Graham says in a statement that he tested positive for COVID-19 and will be quarantining for 10 days as a result.
“I am very glad I was vaccinated because without vaccination I am certain I would not feel as well as I do now. My symptoms would be far worse."
Czech PM tells Trump in the Oval: "I perfectly understand your plan, how to make America great again. I have a similar plan to make the Czech Republic great again."
President Biden hits on a underplayed aspect of today's Camp David summit. "Success brings success."
U.S. hopes that when other nations see cooperation in the region among the three countries they will want to cooperate, too.
Kanye on vaccines:
“It’s so many of our children that are being vaccinated and paralyzed … So when they say the way we’re going to fix Covid is with a vaccine, I’m extremely cautious. That’s the mark of the beast. They want to put chips inside of us."
"Bannon has no contingent," says
@newtgingrich
to
@AprilDRyan
after we caught him walking through press area in WH basement. "There's a Trump wing of the Republican Party. There's not a Bannon wing."
The president could have used the congressional picnic to lobby lawmakers on his agenda. Instead, he says he is cancelling it because "it just doesn't feel right to have a picnic for Congress."
Trump is engaging in “overt racism” to try to win over white suburban voters that polls have consistently shown him losing, John Weaver (
@jwgop
) said.
It's pushing them away from him, said Weaver, "along with his general covid-related incompetence."
Elizabeth Warren making charged GOP voter suppression claims. Says ballots were thrown in the trash in NC. "Massive voter suppression prevented Stacey Abrams from becoming the rightful governor of Georgia," she said. "They'll do whatever it takes to stop an full and fair count."
Biden says he is prepared to write off a $10,000 of student loan debt but not $50,000.
Schumer, Warren and other Democrats have called on Biden to forgive $50k in student debt per borrower.

Fred Guttenberg to reporters at the White House today:
"I would just encourage everyone in the Senate to pay attention to the last two election results if they want to keep their jobs."
INBOX: Pete Buttigieg will tailgate at Allen University's Homecoming next weekend.
His campaign says he will host a town hall & volunteer canvass in Rock Hill, visit the Catawba Indian Nation and speak at the AME Zion Regional Conference, as well.
Sarah Sanders had a long list of reasons that Comey is a liar -- but none of them were that he lied about the conversation he says he had with Trump about the golden showers dossier.
President Biden says he and Hun Sen have a "long agenda" to discuss, bringing up Myanmar and Russia, and ignoring questions from press about whether human rights would be part of the conversation.

Nine years ago, while covering Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, I met a cool reporter named Greg on the press bus during a visit to Georgia. We stayed in touch! Here we are today in Atlanta in the back of a press van, now covering VP Harris. 😎
WASHINGTON -- Vice President Kamala Harris hosts Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at the VP's residence for a breakfast meeting before Kishida's visit to the White House to meet with President Joe Biden.
Warren campaign memo today: "After New Hampshire tonight, 98% of pledged delegates will still be up for grabs. And as the race consolidates after Super Tuesday, we expect the results to show that Elizabeth Warren is the consensus choice of the widest coalition of Democrats..."
Trump backers who have told the president there is no way back have increasingly been frozen out. Other insiders who admit privately that it's over don't want to say that to the president. Concession seen as a task likely to fall to Trump's children. ↘️
Brace yourselves, folks.
@hogangidley45
just told press that Trump & Macron will take 2 questions each from French & U.S press THEN Macron will leave and Trump will answer “as many questions as we want”

"State of the Union" offering a glimpse of what will be in articles of impeachment (although he says there are several drafts).
He repeatedly referred to a "pattern" of conduct by Trump, arguing that Trump sought to interfere in both the 2016 & 2020 elections.
A release from the State Department says Secretary of State Pompeo "will deliver remarks on fighting anti-Semitism at home and abroad" at AIPAC on Monday at 5:25 p.m.
Sean Spicer asks the president if the nation needs him to express comfort and healing right now that some people need:
"Right now I think the nation needs law and order," Trump responds.
"We need healing, but we also need strength, and we need toughness. We need it all."
President Trump, asked about his preferred length for a Senate trial on impeachment, says he's heard Lindsey Graham and likes his statement, then adds: "I'll do whatever I want. Look, we did nothing wrong. So I'll do long or short."
NEW: A tax break that is gaining steam in Congress, w/backing of a bipartisan group of lawmakers, would help offset the cost of doing business amid the pandemic, including purchases of masks and other protective equipment for employees.

NEW: The Trump campaign is downsizing and letting most of its staff go this weekend, with the exception of aides helping with election litigation efforts.
For many Sunday will be their last day. Some were told Nov 30. Others weren't given an end date.
To be clear, the White House says that all CoDels are being cancelled, not just Pelosi's.
No changes have been announced to Trump administration officials' trip to Davos, at this time.
