On the Day of Pentecost, Peter exhorted, Acts 2:40, "Save yourselves from this cooked generation!" It is reported so far that the American people have been subjected to government propaganda since Obama. These programs were carried out by numerous federal agencies including the Pentagon since 2014. Propaganda can be defined as fanciful lies with an agenda. In other words, We the People have been exposed to enemies foreign and domestic for a very long time, operating through deception. What is the everlasting truth that will never let us down, an objective standard by which we can judge all things? Scripture. The word of God never changes and God himself backs it up. Everyone, and I mean everyone, should have, read, and study the Bible every day. There are many versions of the Bible in English. Which is best? The English Standard Version is highly recommended. An excellent companion is the Geneva Bible. Between the two of them every verse becomes clear. And be assured, whoever is sincere about learning God's word will have the help of the Holy Spirit, called the Spirit of truth, John 14:17, 15:26, and 16:13.

The Social Gospel infected all the mainline Protestant denominations. In the Roman Catholic Church it was called Liberation Theology. The Communists knew that an armed revolution in America would not work - too many guns in the hands of We the People. So, they chose a weak institution to bring their message. John D. Rockefeller promoted the Social Gospel through the Presbyterian and Baptist Churches, and then built the Riverside Church in NYC, where they employed Harry Emerson Fosdick. Rockefeller also published the Scofield Bible. Why the Scofield Bible? Many Marxists in those days were Jewish. The Dispensationalist Scofield Bible is low church/high Israel.

Isaiah 59, the OT lesson for Morning Prayer today, February 11, 2025, perfectly describes the state of our society now: God is able to save us but our sins get in the way, it says. The evil of the Left and corrupt Deep State is described in detail. But those who want righteousness and justice struggle because we, too, have sins and have not sufficiently turned to God for help. "Truth stumbles in the public square," it says. I know what that means. People don't want to hear religious talk in the political realm. But we better listen. This is a spiritual battle. The Left is filled with demons. Only God can deliver us. The Declaration of Independence was a covenant with God. God is not like us. He keeps his promises unfailingly. Will we keep ours?
