Attention 5th grade families! All three Washington Township Middle Schools will be hosting an open house on February 2 1:00-4:00pm, and you are invited! You can confirm which middle school your child will attend by visiting the district website.

We appreciate all the families who braved the snowy weather to join us for our Math and Literacy Evening. It was wonderful to see students and their families collaborating to assist Phineas Fox in locating his keys and escaping Fox Hill.

There will be no school on Monday, January 20, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We encourage our students and staff to use the day to participate in activities to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy. A list of area events can be found here:

First graders are learning to measure the lengths of various items using centimeter cubes and tens rods. The students enjoyed investigating the lengths of different objects found in their desks. Using tangible tools helps deepen their understanding of the skill.

Reminder that permission slips for our Escape Room Math and Literacy night are due Friday, Jan. 17. This event will take place on Thursday, January 23 at 6:00 PM.

As our fourth graders get ready for their trip to Biz Town, a number of students are aiming to be chosen as mayor. They have written speeches and addressed questions regarding how they would tackle various situations at Biz Town. We are excited to find out who will be mayor.

Join us for our Escape Room Math and Literacy Night on Thursday, January 23 at 6:00 PM. Phineas Fox has stolen keys and we must complete math and literacy activities to find the keys and escape Fox Hill. Will you help us escape Fox Hill? Permission slips are due Friday, Jan. 17.

Due to continued hazardous road conditions, Washington Township Schools will be closed and move to eLearning on Tuesday, January 7th.
