It was an honor and a deeply moving experience to have the chance to welcome 600 new Americans to @VCU campus this morning. In my brief opening remarks I spoke about the meaning and enduring power of the American Dream and shared my personal story as a proud naturalized citizen.
Congratulations to the 600 individuals who became U.S. citizens today during a naturalization ceremony at @VCU's Siegel Center. I wish everyone the best of luck in realizing, as @Fotis_Sot called it, your own version of the American Dream.
