I get a lot of responses saying that Inter needing to sell Brozovic for €20m coz of debt. You guys realise how silly that sounds? Yes, Inter have big debts. So do many other clubs. Manchester United have huge debts. As do Juventus. Barcelona have crazy debts. And yet they are not selling their best players in a garage sale. You don't solve a debt problem by selling a player or two, just like you don't settle your mortgage by selling a few deck chairs. Inter's problem is the inability or reluctance by Suning to invest or get investors. Debt can be restructured, but you cannot maintain a Bentley with a Toyota Yaris budget. Lets call a spade a spade here. Until that problem is solved, no amount of player sales will help. Marotta can only hold afloat a sinking ship with duct tape for so long.

@carlogarganese Its true that their depth is weak, but also: 1. They play only 1 competition, so no rotation needed 2. Conte rarely rotates, even when he has quality depth Even without Kvara, this season is perfectly poised for Conte

@NimaTavRood Italy had no decent strikers of late... Retegui & Kean are now providing some hope

@FabrizioRomano Sucic is the first exciting buy of the Oaktree era. However unless Inter get 2-3 more quality players this summer, the future looks bleak
Inter fans are dramatically overreacting & significantly under reacting to this loss against Fiorentina Its just a blip, we have had a few this season already. Inter are still in the race for the Scudetto this season, its possible for the squad to react to this defeat as they have in the past & close the gap with Napoli. Napoli can falter too. Like in any race, there will be ups & downs However the long term issue is of ownership & investment, or rather the lack of. While Suning also did not invest big in the mercato after Conte left, at least they maintained high wage levels to keep quality in the squad. That allowed Marotta to get players like Thuram, Onana, Mkhitaryan, Calhanoglu, Pavard, Sommer, etc. Against all odds, Marotta's genius & Inzaghi's tactics actually improved Inter in this period. Of course, the question was how long would Inter be able to sustain it with little investment Since Oaktree, that strategy has changed, unfortunately for the worse. There is still no investment in the mercato, but also an intention to significantly reduce the wage bill. Just a cursory look at the transfers since Oaktree will confirm this - these are banter era level transfers. The squad still has a lot of quality in it, but as we all know, you need to constantly improve your squad in football just to stay where you are. These blips are just initial symptoms of the squad getting stale. If we continue like this, a crash is inevitable, the only question is whether it comes in a year or two You cannot maintain a Bentley on a Toyota Yaris budget. We need new owners, asap

@DdsForza Last summer's mercato was also under Oaktree's influence, Suning were already out of the picture

@marifcinter Inter are still in the race this season, but unfortunately longer term prospects don't look good. Inter are trying to maintain a Bentley on a Toyota Yaris budget, & that never works out well

@FBiasin Agreed, we are still very much in the race this season. But unfortunately the problems at Inter run deeper. We are trying to maintain a Bentley on a Toyota Yaris budget, this blip is just an initial symptom of an impending doom

@Bo_Ruba7 On a shoestring budget, if your director's are genius, the best you can do is what Atalanta are doing - that the best case scenario. You cannot run a club of Inter's ambitions on a shoestring budget successfully these days, our idea of success is different

@PriestleyMatty @MentalFPL @LetsTalk_FPL You are not getting it. The relevant question here is whether to start the 3 week chip this week or next week. My hypothesis is that Salah TC this week & then the AM chip next week made more sense

@FPL_Harry We are on the same boat. I did 2 FTs, and if you replace Mbeumo with Rogers, our starting XI & TC are the same I might AM next GW if the right double is confirmed
