Book number 1 in 2022 is complete. Couldn’t think of a better way to start off the year than filling a little baseball void in the middle of winter. Another great book by David Halberstam chronically the Yankees/Red Sox pennant race of 1949.

Today was the big reveal for my son’s friend who lost his house in a fire last month. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for the outpouring of love. He was overwhelmed. We’ll be here all weekend opening packages. Way too many to tag! More pictures below.

What I love about building a set from scratch is how your opinion of it can change after the chase. 84 Fleer was a set I was indifferent on. Now, it’s one of my favorite sets of the 80’s. So clean. Here’s the obligatory binder flip through video.

Absolutely best game he’s ever played tonight. Hit his first in game out of the park home run. Pitched all 6 innings in 73 pitches and gave up only 6 hits and one run. Got the win and we stay alive to play tomorrow in the year end tournament.

32 years ago today I got my first complete set as a Christmas gift. 1991 Upper Deck! The first thing I do? Tear into it and binder it! This is that same set, same binder and same foil stickers. Also the original label created by none other than the 12 year old me.

Saddened to here about the passing of Eddie Robinson. He began his career at the end of the 1942 season and immediately enlisted to serve in WWII. He spent 65 years in baseball. He signed this card via TTM for me in October of 2020. RIP 🙏🏻
