A lot has happened and so fast I sometimes forget that I only started some months ago and that it hasn't even been a year yet! VO has made me rethink my life and has even pushed me to make decisions and risks that I could only have ever dreamed of, but now is slowly becoming real

It didn't really hit at the time, but that fact I landed a role within a weeks time of just starting out was unnaturally fast, and since then I would get more and more roles each and every week. Unpaid yes, but roles nonetheless. It really had me thinking...

And that realization really hit and hit hard that in the more professional space there is a lot more to VO work than I had thought. Made me realize that I needed to improve on my skill set and that talent, no matter how strong it is, is only really a jump start to a profession.

When I initially started I achieved my first role within a week of finding out about Casting Call Club without any prior knowledge, and with out any real prior foundation. This little role from a group called Cosmic Star Productions was what propelled me into doing more and more

I have a few choice words for whoever put a Kensington lock on my store's display laptop and tossed out the lock combination.
I had to freaking become a decoder and a lock picker today, and let me tell ya, it was not exciting......

This! All of this! I can't tell you how many times I have been saved by just having something I could access through a Google drive!
Advice for voice actors - Make sure you are always able to send your demo and raw studio sample files to someone no matter where you are. Keep them on your phone, Google Drive, or downloadable on your website.

Since then I had sought out classes, foundational building blocks, and advice from many people to help fill in the gaps that I was missing, and I am still learning and filling in those gaps. I have met many great people along the way doing so and I hope to meet even more.

This is the type of mind set you should constantly have!
When I audition for something, I put everything I got into it, but so does everyone else!
If someone else gets chosen for the role, I know that they tried their darnedest to get it, so I celebrate their success with them!

Other actors' successes are not your failures.
It is easy to fall into the mindset that because you are not announcing, getting a booking or even getting auditions, you have failed or are failing.
There are downtimes in every adventure.
