@ShrewsburyWorks @ShropCouncil @ShrewsburyTC The route of the old canal stretches beyond the boundaries of the site owned by Historic England. The line of the old Shrewsbury and Newport Canal on site has being preserved by Historic England to allow the reinstatement of the old canal when the wider route has been restored.

We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. We will still open on 10 & 11 September, however, as a mark of respect, we are cancelling the launch celebrations. If you wish to rearrange tickets you can do so here:
The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.
