It's different. In the past Boliva had a part of the Pacific coast that now belongs to Chile; she lost it after defeat in war against Chile, and lost a lot of her territory to other countries around with other wars too. Instead Ethiopia never has had the Eritrean coast.

That's true. The Italy-Africa summit, aka the Mattei plan, was not a great success in itself, given that it struggled to involve the other African countries. But Eritrea managed to use the opportunity to re-establish a more promising relationship with Italy. This is very good.
President Isaias Afwerki of Eritrea has been in Italy since January 28th. The rest of African leaders finished their photo ops, and left right away. What is Afwerki cooking. Knowing him as I do, The stay is strategic.

Very serious question. I know of many elderly people who have lived and worked in Italy and who would now like to enjoy their last years in Eritrea, their native country. But in Eritrea they are unable to receive their retirement pension from Italy.
