On yet another train to London to attend the third of four days of Committee stage of #MartynsLaw. Another overnighter as the debate does not finish til probably gone 10pm. However, today is another step closer to the finish line.

Sweet Alexander sucking his thumb and holding his beloved Peter Rabbit. Thank you for sharing these special moments with us through your A to Z for Alexander. The Twitter world has got its arms wrapped around you. You are amazing!🌷
It's taken me a while to feel able to post an A to Z for Alexander. But today's the day. A is for "abidriz" and B is for "baga". Both made up words he used before he could talk properly to describe various things. For so long, he called F "baga" & it made us laugh so much. #grief

Beautiful Alexander could not have been born to a kinder more wonderful & loving mum and dad. I know missing him has turned your hearts into millions of shreds and that your heart aches through its brokenness. Sending much love and the courage to get through today somehow.🌷
At exactly 2.07 pm 7 years ago, you came into our world Alexander and changed it for the better. I remember gazing at you, and the tiny squeaks you made. We miss you, we love you and we hope we make you proud. Tonight is chippy tea and chocolate cake for you Xxx #grief #childloss

Feeling honoured to be given the privilege to be part of the advisory team. Looking forward to a meaningful collaboration.
We are honoured to announce that Figen Murray OBE has joined the Westminster Group Advisory Board. Figen is a powerful voice in security, counter-terrorism, and public safety and has been the driving force behind Martyn’s Law, a landmark initiative dedicated to enhancing security measures and protecting public spaces from the threat of terrorism. Figen's advocacy stems from personal tragedy—on 22nd May 2017, her son, Martyn Hett, was one of 22 people killed in the devastating Manchester Arena terrorist attack. Determined to prevent such tragedies in the future, Figen has worked tirelessly to improve security legislation and raise awareness of the need for greater public safety measures. Her insight, determination, and deep commitment to safeguarding lives align perfectly with Westminster Group’s mission to keep people safe. @FigenMurray #MartynsLaw

Yesterday was Day One of the Committee stage of #MartynsLaw in the House of Lords. Three more days to go before it moves to Report stage, then to 3rd Reading. A few more steps after that but getting there! @ukhomeoffice @MrBrendanCox @NathEmmerich

Not a problem. It is not about the photo but about being there and doing what we all did.
@FigenMurray Sorry about that! I think we must have retaken the photo at least 3 times, there was always someone else arriving just as we were about to take it 😂

Stuart and I could not quite make it to the photo but we're at the meeting which was very encouraging. A long way to go still but it felt that we were heard.
Back at @ukhomeoffice yesterday evening with these incredible people. A lot of work still to be done on the detail, but also a lot to be proud about- and some exciting news that we hope to be able to share in the coming weeks. Thank you for your time @DanJarvisMBE @jessphillips

It felt good to be listened to with a great deal of kindness and empathy. A step forward in the right direction.
A group of about 20 survivors of terror attacks met with @DanJarvisMBE today. He listened to each of us & set out an initial plan of action. I can’t set out the details yet but some really important progress that we have campaigned for for years is one step closer.

On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, I encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect and to commit to a better future by stamping out all forms of hatred and intolerance. Holocaust Memorial Day ensures we never forget. #HMD2025
Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) shows us where prejudice can lead when it is normalised and encouraged. Today, we remember the 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust. We also commemorate the millions more people murdered through the Nazi persecution of other groups, and in the more recent genocides recognised by the UK government, and the genocide in Darfur. Prejudice has not ended and there is much to do to create a better future. #HMD2025 #HolocaustMemorialDay

Freddie & Sophia are finding their way together through their future as siblings. It is so heart-breaking not to see all of them play out in the garden. I understand the numbness you feel. Sophia is symbolic of your family simply taking one step at a time. Sending much love.
F asked to play with bubbles in the garden today. It's the 1st time he's played there since you died. He's wonderful and brave-and I just felt so empty. You should be popping bubbles together. Holding baby's hands as she takes her first steps, together. Running to me, together. 💔

@ClaireCarmalt She clearly always has been a most colourful and beautiful girl. Thank you for sharing these photos. Love the sound of the little robin being alongside you when you do the gardening. Sending much love.
