Loving the discourse and i appreciate you thinking out loud and iterating in public. I would like to see more of that on this website I'll take the other side and argue in defense of memetics - Labels have been gambling on artists as a business model for a century, that upside should be shared with the fans - Music fandom in 2025 looks more like sports, and BTS stans want to put numbers on the (bill)board. they will only pay for music as a social signal - Attention is valuable, social media steals it and gives fans nothing back - Arguably the biggest album of last year was a meme wrote about this stuff here

@arjunblj Would be cool to see specialized channels emerge like Instagram accounts on top of the core issuance platform. Revshare component would add depth and disincentivize dumping too. Wrote about it here:

OK here we go Ethereum strategy if I'm the dictator: Crank fees from L2s - ETH price should be an index on app layer popularity. gud price kicks off the attention flywheel. number needs to go up before anyone cares about gud tek Narrative - someone needs to tell joe public that his children are being exploited by big tech and that ethereum is the solution. this needs to be yelled loudly and often and at every level. pointing at the bad guy makes you the good guy Channels - then that story needs to be told via crypto native channels (rogan, lex) but also tradfi news. more boomers recognize meltem than vitalik. Eth needs to be humanized which brings me to the next points Leadership - vitalik is a legit superstar and he doesnt know it. hes brilliant, built like a runway model, relatable, articulate, and funny. team ETH wont win without a mascot, and i actually dont think anyone else can do it the way he can Culture - much has happened in and around the culture eth created and none of the attention has been claimed. vitalik needs to sit next to timothee chalamet at a lakers game and next to carti at a balenciaga show. we need rappers name dropping him. he needs to date sydney sweeney (or appear to). none of this shit happens by accident, it takes effort Products - EF needs to buy instead of build. users arent coming for the virtuous benefits of a more fair internet, theyre coming because their favorite app is now on the network. A1 kids dont wants to build in crypto when they could otherwise build on web2 (openAI, tiktok, many unicorns have launched since 2015). start with a mobile game with hundreds of millions of users. then help audius acquire soundcloud youll notice products are last, thats because this is crypto ETH is the product

You nor anyone that says the stuff you're parroting knows what they're talking about or has worked in any sort of creative industry professionally. I'm happy to break this down point by point for you: - create programmable licensing No one wants this, creators want distribution and distributors want exclusivity. Distribution wins, always. Everything else falls in line with demand - better revenue distributions (real time, automated, etc) Sure, but no one cares about paying artists, and artists don't even really care about being paid (see Chillguy) - easier collabs between creators This is not broken, like at all - global system instead of jurisdictional system This relies on opt-in from billion-dollar companies that benefit from inefficiencies and control distribution- see #1 - financialize the IP No artist or creator on earth wants their work to be considered an "asset". Warhol was a prostitute, gagosian was his pimp
