@edlonguk @abritishparent @DamianHinds Tax the consumer or the business. Let the market decide. Independent schools are not operating for societal good, they should not have charitable status.

@abritishparent @DamianHinds I’d argue not to add VAT (a tax on the consumer) and treat private schools as businesses and tax the business. Charitable status should be reserved for a societal benefit which isn’t served by giving out bursaries to fund 2-3% of independent school places.
