This kind of trespassing can be seen as a threat or spying, so the country has every right to confiscate their weapons for safety reasons. 2) Ships Entering Without Permission: According to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), a coastal country has jurisdiction over its territorial waters up to 12 miles from its shore.
