@bmohan1 What I meant is, this idea that Carsley's ace card is meant to be developing players at U21 level, is unlikely to be the case for England. Would there be a major difference in bringing Ireland's young players up to international standard, which Kenny had not really managed?

@bmohan1 I mean it more in that it was one inexperienced top level manager for another. England U21 champions with Carsley.....how many will be in their squad next summer?

@bmohan1 Yeah, they would have gone for it earlier. But, there is a sense that he's lost his way in making his Plan A stick. Replacements - seems to be on for Carsley. Which seems plain odd based on his CV. Sacking a former U21 manager to hire another one?
