Message from Faye’s Mum: Sadly Faye was rushed into hospital with Sepsis again on Thursday night after being unwell all week. Her infection markers are sky high so they’re pumping her through with antibiotics and running lots of tests and scans trying to find the source.

Message from Faye’s Mum: Sadly Faye was rushed into A&E with Sepsis again last night with the help of the fire brigade carrying her out of our house. She was then whisked off to Resus and they called the ITU outreach nurse who stayed with her for several hours, stabilising her.

Update on Faye: She’s still very poorly but is more alert. She has bilateral pneumonia again and had a dramatic and agonising cardiac event on Saturday night. They were worried that a vessel in her heart had perforated but scans showed it was due to the extent of the infection.

Update on Faye:
It’s been touch and go and all of her close family members were brought in to say goodbye as they didn’t think she’d survive the night. But after pumping her full of antibiotics, drugs and blood transfusions etc, she’s still very poorly but proving us all wrong.
New message from Faye’s Mum:

Sorry to disappoint those who didn’t believe I was immortal but I’ve done it again! Nearly died of Sepsis, Blood clots, Pneumonia, Pleurisy and 2 litres of fluid in my abdo. ITU wouldn’t take me and said I had no chance so wanted to put me under a DNR. 4 weeks later I’m back! ☺️

Addenbrookes finally have a bed so Faye will be transferred up today and it should take about 3 hours. They’re letting me go in the Ambulance with her and are sorting out accommodation for me in the relatives hostel, so she won’t be on her own up there.

Faye’s fits, spasms and confusion have subsided now and she’s just exhausted of it all. They’re doing imaging to try and find a place where a new central line can be placed as her access is so poor but for now, we’re sitting tight and hoping for the best.

Bad news as Faye has tested positive for Covid again. She’s caught it twice now in the same hospital and last time it was nearly fatal. She hasn't been well enough to have her booster yet either so underneath the strength she's showing, she’s terrified.
Faye says thank you for all of your love and support. She’s exhausted but holding her own and I’m sure you know by now that she always comes back fighting! They've moved her to an isolation room and are doing more tests and X-rays etc and the lung pain is now more under control.

Just a quick update as I feel pretty awful TBH. My Mum left a msg at my GP surgery 1st thing yesterday morning and literally within an hour the on call Dr came out. He’s given me strong antibiotics and said to call 999 if I get any worse. Thank u for the love and concern ♥️

How about some bloody good news for once?!? 🙄 The magic unlicensed powder they trialed on me worked beautifully and stopped the extensive bleeding from my femoral central line site. So I’ve done my lil human Guinea Pig act again and hopefully it’ll help other people now. 🥰🙏🏻❤️

I’m on day 4 of my TPN re-feeding plan and I’ve had a few side effects but nothing major. So after nearly 5 weeks in hospital it’s full steam ahead and I’m going home tomorrow. Another near fatal sepsis battle fought and won! 💪🏻🙏🏻

Bad news guys. 🥺 The blood cultures from my central line have come back positive. I dunno what’s gonna happen now but I think they’ll have to remove it and I’ll have to go up to Addenbrookes to get a new one in cos I’ve been off TPN for 24 days already. I think I'm gonna cry.
I’ve been wanting to do an update on the sepsis but I didn’t know what to say TBH. It seems that my body just can’t take any infection anymore and it means my prognosis isn’t great now. But I was given 3 months to live 15 years ago so you’re not getting rid of me that easily! ❤️

My SATS have gone down to 94 and my GP said if it goes below 94 we have to call 999 so I’m a bit on edge. My temperature is still high and I’ve been really breathless and wheezy but thankfully using my inhaler is helping. I just feel horrendous now TBH. Thanks for all the love ❤️

After my tweet below I deteriorated and started having seizures etc and was mostly unconsciousness for days. They thought I’d had a stroke but I hadn’t and it was due to the extent of the infection but it was very scary.

Faye tested positive for Covid again in hospital on Friday and is now in an isolation room. She can’t get a phone signal or strong enough Wi-Fi to reply to your messages etc so with her help and coaching I’m trying to keep everyone updated on her behalf.

I’m finally home after they couldn’t get the 3 Ambulance crews needed until 7.30pm. I’m absolutely exhausted physically and mentally but I’m back in my own bed and I couldn’t be more grateful. Plus I got to the sky for the 1st time in 5 weeks and it’s never looked so blue! 🥰🙏🏻❤️
After 33 days in this room, looked after by lovely Nurses/HCAs, an Ambulance and the 3 crews needed to get me home are booked for 4pm. I know I’m blessed to survive sepsis so many times and I don’t take it for granted for a second. Thank u so much for helping me through it! ❤️🙏🏻

Well hopefully by tonight I’ll have a lovely new, not infected central line in and they’ll be able to restart my TPN slowly after not being able to have it for over 5 weeks. I dunno what time I’m going down to theatre but I’ll see u guys on the flip side. Wish me luck!!! 🙏🏻🤞🏻

Update from Faye’s Mum: Faye’s now stable but exhausted after her 2nd Sepsis in 2 months and 3rd in 8 months. The MRSA in her lungs is the Sepsis source but the blood cultures from her central line have come back positive so they’re redoing them to confirm whether it’s infected.

I went down at 10ish and just got back in my room. I’m bruised, battered and bloodied but it’s another battle won! 💪🏻 I’m now sporting a femoral line a few inches to the side of my surgical catheter so I’m gonna start a fashion trend. I’ve got a central line again people! ☺️🙏🏻❤️

I feel like I’ve been desperately battling a huge wave of depression and PTSD over the last week or 2 but I haven’t been able to say much and now it’s getting closer to engulfing me. I don’t really know why I’m posting this TBH but I guess it helps me feel less alone and afraid.

Bad news, I’ve got MRSA yet again just to top the Covid. That makes it 4 times in this hospital and Covid twice. I should get a certificate or something! ☺️
Good news is I’m still going home and the Ambulance is booked for 6pm. 🥰

Got big problems with my surgical catheter again so I need the Urologists to come back and see me. They haven't got all of my TTO drugs etc yet either so they've had to cancel the Ambulance and I’m staying in here for another night.

After waiting 10 days to get transferred back to Eastbourne hospital, I now have a bed so the Ambulance is coming at 9.30am. It’s 9 weeks since I was admitted with Sepsis and it’s the next step to getting home. Should get there about 12.30pm ish so ill catch ya on the other side!

So my final diagnosis is, bladder stones caused an infection which turned into urinary sepsis. It then spread to my blood which infected my central line and to my lungs, causing bilateral pneumonia and septic blood clots. I’ve gotta be on IV antibiotics for 2 more weeks at least.

Well only to a hospital but I’ve not left my house to go anywhere other than hospitals for 8 years now. I've got a CT scan to see if the Pneumonia, Pleurisy and arterial bleeding are better and whether I need more treatment. Wish me luck guys, I can't take any more bad news! 🍀🤞🏻

So full disclosure, I’m really afraid right now about what happens to me care-wise as I’ve deteriorated a lot this year. They brought up the possibility of me going into a nursing home and my Mum just burst into tears and said “No way, no way!” so I know she’s as afraid as I am.

I have loads of scars from central lines and a tracheostomy etc on my neck and chest. But they’re my battle scars and show how many fights I’ve fought and won so I would never hide them. 💪🏻

All of the staff on this ward are so lovely. They call me love, darling, sweetheart and 1 nurse calls me lovey which is my fave! My HCA on tonight is really nice and he just said that it was a pleasure to look after me which was really sweet. It makes a big difference in here. ❤️
Awful night but one of my fave HCA’s is on and just said “Hiya love, have u got everything u need? Do u know what u amaze me, you’re so young and so ill but you’re lovely. When I hear most of the f*ckers on here moaning nonstop I think, u have no idea. I do admire u, u know.” 🥹

Message from Faye’s Mum:
Faye has thankfully tested negative for Covid today so she’s no longer infectious but she’s still got all the nasty symptoms and the severe pain in her lung. She’s been back in hospital for 3 weeks now and has been getting iller and weaker by the day.

9 weeks after being rushed to hospital with Sepsis yet again, I’m going home today so fingers crossed I can stay out for more than 3 weeks this time! 🙏🏻🤞🏻

10 days in hospital, 3 days at home, rushed into Resus critically ill then 4 weeks in hospital has really hit me hard now I’m home. I’m struggling TBH and feel so sad but I feel guilty saying that cos I’m alive and I very nearly wasn’t.

I got a belated Birthday present! 😃 My surgical catheter was stuck to my bladder wall hence all the pain/bypassing for 4 weeks. Now it’s been unstuck and works perfectly which is a bit annoying cos Addenbrookes could’ve easily done it but at least I can go home tomorrow now! 🥰

I hope you’re all doing ok. I’m coughing up lumps of blood again and my chest is a lot worse but I can’t type much ATM cos I’m in agony with the Raynaud's. I’m going for my chest CT today (if they send the 2 crews needed unlike the other week) So fingers crossed for me guys! 🤞🏻🙏🏻

Sorry for not replying to tweets/msgs, I’m really not very well. My chest’s bad and the CT scan still shows active infection/bleeding, I’ve got major probs with my bladder/surgical catheter and my central line site is still infected and I just feel awful so please bear with me.

Bad news but at least I know why I feel so bad. My sputum samples came back positive for MRSA still after I got it in Dec, despite the Drs telling me it would of gone weeks ago. My GP is talking to the microbiology/general med teams tomorrow to see if I have to go into hospital.

I honestly can’t thank everyone enough for all the love, support and kindness 🥰❤️ I know I’m living on borrowed time and won’t win the war in the end but I’m gonna fight every battle along the way and I couldn’t do that without the army of amazing people by my side. 🙏🏻

So my latest sputum results have come back positive for MRSA and Candida. A surgery Paramedic came out to see me and he said that I looked completely wiped out and that I need antibiotics for both bugs otherwise he’s worried I’ll get Sepsis again. I feel really bloody rough now.

After 33 days in this room, looked after by lovely Nurses/HCAs, an Ambulance and the 3 crews needed to get me home are booked for 4pm. I know I’m blessed to survive sepsis so many times and I don’t take it for granted for a second. Thank u so much for helping me through it! ❤️🙏🏻

Thank u so much for all the love and support after yesterday ❤️ It just about finished me off TBH but I’m ready to go again so hopefully I won’t get nasty jobsworths today. I’ve spent 6 and 1/2 months out of the last 12 in hospitals and I just desperately need to get home now.

Thank u so much for all of the love since I came out of hospital on Tuesday night. I’ve been really poorly since, with high temperatures and coughing up nasty phlegm again so I’m praying it’s not the sepsis/pneumonia/pulmonary embolisms/delete as appropriate, kicking off again.

So my central line site is badly infected and really sore, just to add insult to injury. The cold is killing me and making my pain much worse and my chest is deteriorating. Combined with the PTSD/Depression it’s just too much right now TBH so thanks for the love and support. ❤️🥹

So it's been 4 long weeks since I was rushed to hospital with sepsis/pneumonia/septic blood clots in my lungs/surgical catheter and central line infections. I’ve been without my TPN feed for a month now but thankfully the microbiologists say they can restart it slowly tonight…

Thrilled to say that I’m back in my own bed at home after 3 nightmare months in hospital with blood clots in my lungs and heart, Sepsis, Covid, MRSA and Endocarditis!!! 🛌❤️💪🏻

So I’ve been in hospital with sepsis/pneumonia/blood clots in my lungs for 2 weeks now. But I haven't had my TPN (basically IV food) for 15 days as my central line‘s infected and they can’t get a temporary line in. I feel pretty rough and weak now but it's onwards and upwards! 💪🏻

So I took a turn for the worse 2 days ago and started violently vomiting and my temperature and pulse went really high. My chest is really bad again too and I’m coughing up nasty stuff. Thankfully managed to stay at home so far and am praying that I won’t end up in hospital. 🙏🏻
