Today is the feast of St. Sebastian, patron saint of soldiers and athletes, because of his strength and courage to spread and defended the faith until his martyrdom. A special prayer for all my friends in the Pontifical Swiss Guard on their patronal feast day, for my friends in the US Military, and for all those dedicated to sports and physical fitness!

On US Presidential Inauguration Day, a Prayer for Strength for God and Country: Heavenly Father, you are our source of strength and shield in every battle. Bless us with courage to stand for You and our nation, rooted in faith and integrity. Grant us the endurance to build bodies fit for Your service, minds sharpened by truth, and spirits fueled by grace. As we strive for excellence, may we honor You with every step, every lift, and every act of love for our brothers and sisters. Strengthen us for Your Kingdom, that we may serve boldly and inspire others to seek You. Amen.

“The family that prays together, stays together.” (Fr. Patrick Peyton) When I first shared my photos with the Schwegler’s I quoted Fr. Peyton, not knowing that my friend Alexandra, married to a former Swiss Guard, had a grandfather that knew Fr. Peyton, was his lawyer and friend, and accompanied him many times in his ministry. As I visited with the Schwegler’s, I was able to pray with them, to celebrate Mass and bless their new house, and to also receive their own prayers and blessings. Thanks you, Alexandra and David. You are a blessing in my priestly ministry. God bless you and the kids!

Thank you to all my friends, former Swiss Guards and their families, for the warm hospitality during the Christmas season! I am grateful for their hospitality and friendship, for welcoming me as part of their family. I am blessed to witness their love for God and Country, for Church and Family!

Gym Prayer for the New Year 💪🏼🙏🏼 Lord, as I begin this year, I consecrate every moment of my training to You. Strengthen my body to endure, my mind to focus, and my spirit to remain holy and unwavering. Let each step, lift, and breath bring glory to Your name, keeping me fit for the Kingdom and ready to serve. May I grow not only in strength but also in virtue, striving always to stay strong in body, mind, and spirit, for the glory of your name. Amen.

A Prayer Before Training in the New Year – Lord Jesus, you gave me my health not as an inheritance to be wasted, but as a gift to be cultivated and a talent to be multiplied. I offer to you the efforts of my training this year, that I may grow in strength, virtue, and holiness. Keep me strong in body, mind, and spirit. Fit for your Kingdom in 2025. Amen.
