Minorities are not targeted for being minorities in Bangladesh, to be honest. Some incidents took place where political opponents were attacked, and the victim was from the minority. This is condemnable. However, there is no drive to target people for being a "minority."

It's better not to frame it as a coup. A well-articulated popular uprising should be given due credit. Hasina mobilized the entire state mechanism to crush it, but she had to flee. So, it was not merely a coup.

Its necessary to go beyond realpolitik and narrowly defined strategic understanding. If Hasina survives (which is unlikely), she won't offer India anything meaningful as BD would become dysfunctional.
If Sheikh Hasina falls, India may be left with Bhutan, Mauritius and Seychelles as the last remaining friendly and stable neighbours. Afghanistan, Maldives, Myanmar, Pakistan all lost. Nepal and Sri Lanka continue to wobble. Challenging times, as China looms.
