In light of the current situation of the world, one of our amazing Reception children has written a letter to the Prime Minister voicing her concern!

In support of a pupil with diabetes, Year 5 have been learning more about the condition and the challenges it presents. The Blue Balloon Challenge is the result. The idea: Continue your day without the balloon falling too low or too high. The maths test proved challenging! 😂
Survival skills has been the latest activity. The shelters produced weren’t always effective against the sudden ‘storms’, but the hot milk made up for it!
We arrived safely and have had a fabulous fun filled first day, facing fears with some first time climbs and adventurous abseiling too. The children have all been brilliant and have settled in fantastically. More photos to follow….
What a wonderful way for the children at Farington Primary to begin their week. With a huge thanks to Trikidz, each year group have experienced what it is like to take part in their very own triathlon. The sun was shining & so were the smiles on their faces!
Congratulations to our magnificent Stars of the Week on their excellent effort. Also a mention for our Reception children, who sat beautifully through their first ever assembly. Well done!
We just wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ to all of the Year 6s who gave up their time to provide tours for prospective parents. You were magnificent! (As always!)
Had an amazing time gorge walking! The children have shown an untold amount of courage, resilience, perseverance and encouragement of each other. Every single one of them has made us proud. Quick stop for lunch then paddle boarding and kayaking this afternoon.
This is what makes Farington amazing! Thank you to everyone who has been involved with year 6 this year-wonderful parents, caring staff and most of all the outstanding children x
It’s time for our end of term reward trip. All children who have reached the top of the Reading Rainbow and/or have been on Outstanding get entered into the draw. Our winners were randomly selected to visit Preston for their treat!
Patterdale 18: Increasingly tired, our Year 6s demolish another breakfast in anticipation of the activities ahead. The weather was pretty kind to us yesterday, let’s see what today brings.
Thank you to everyone who came along to our summer fair and especially those that helped with time or through donations. We are thrilled to have raised £1,200!
It has been wonderful to welcome back all of the children today. You’ll be delighted to hear that they have all settled in really well. As many of you will know, we’ve had a facelift inside the building. There’s a few finishing touches still to go, but first up is Class 4!
Following on from the Farington and Lostock Hall in Bloom win earlier this year, our Gardening Club have won the South Ribble in Bloom competition. Congratulations to Miss Hoyle and her team once again in the amazing win!
Thank you so much for all the parents that came along to the Year 4 Christmas Brass Performance! For those of you unable to attend, here are a couple of clips to give you a flavour of their talents! I’m so proud of you all!
Our Year 5s celebrating National Poetry Day.
They joined in with a live lesson from BBC Teach and then created their own acrostic poems all about nature🍃
These super stars are back from their first swimming lesson! We had a very excited bunch on the bus. They were all amazing and gave their best efforts. As always, they made me proud. Mrs Wright
With it being the end of a half-term, we also have our Special Star Awards for exceptional performance throughout the half-term. Congratulations to all these children. Left to right: Bronze, Silver, Gold.
We were thrilled to welcome Cllr Paul Wharton and Cllr Jacky Alty to school today to present certificates to the winners of the ‘Love where you live’ competition. Congratulations to all of our winners and please do look out for their work around Farington and Leyland soon!
Eris wanted to show her appreciation to all those working and make our neighbours smile, so she designed this window and we have spent the last 4 days bringing it to life. Eris hopes it makes you smile too!
