Longfellow Elementary School staff participated in underground dress up days to surprise the students. Students were not told what the dress up days would be. Themes included Pajama Day, Anything But a Water Bottle, Jean Jacket Day, Patterns Galore, and Monochromatic.

Ed Clapp Elementary School hosted an interactive STEM Night for its families on January 30. The event, attended by more than 100 students, featured 10 carnival booth-style activity stations with activities focused on science, technology, engineering, and math.

Ed Clapp Elementary School teachers participated in a BARR U time activity that focused on each other's strengths. Names were written on paper and hung up and teachers wrote kind and thoughtful messages that highlighted the strengths of their colleagues.

Horace Mann-Roosevelt Elementary School held a Wild Robot Making event as one of the culminating activities of its read-aloud of "The Wild Robot." Students built their own versions of robots inspired by the character from the book with assistance from parent helpers.
