Longfellow Elementary School staff participated in underground dress up days to surprise the students. Students were not told what the dress up days would be. Themes included Pajama Day, Anything But a Water Bottle, Jean Jacket Day, Patterns Galore, and Monochromatic.

Early Childhood staff participated in secret dress-up theme days and waited to see if students would notice the trends. Themes included Anything But a Water Bottle Day, Jean Jacket Day, and Patterns Galore.

Explorer Academy staff were treated to a spud-tacular lunch on January 31. They enjoyed a baked potato bar with all their favorite toppings available to celebrate a cold and busy month of January.

Washington Elementary School students got a live look at future music opportunities they will have as they enjoyed a concert. The Ben Franklin Middle School Music Tour visited the school to perform for the elementary students.

Ed Clapp Elementary School hosted an interactive STEM Night for its families on January 30. The event, attended by more than 100 students, featured 10 carnival booth-style activity stations with activities focused on science, technology, engineering, and math.

Ed Clapp Elementary School teachers participated in a BARR U time activity that focused on each other's strengths. Names were written on paper and hung up and teachers wrote kind and thoughtful messages that highlighted the strengths of their colleagues.

Last Wednesday, Fargo Public Schools celebrated its 2025 Teacher of the Year Bart Manson with a surprise announcement at Davies High School. Check out this video from the event!

South High School AP Physics students visited the Physics Department at North Dakota State University in December. The students attended a variety of physics demonstrations and built sand take home drones.

Horace Mann-Roosevelt Elementary School held a Wild Robot Making event as one of the culminating activities of its read-aloud of "The Wild Robot." Students built their own versions of robots inspired by the character from the book with assistance from parent helpers.

Brianna Vig's kindergarten class at Jefferson Elementary School invites Mystery Readers into the classroom to read to the students each week. This week, fourth grade teacher Paige Hanson visited the class to read "Elmer" by David McKee.

The Fargo Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps hosted its annual Military Ball on January 28. Cadets invited guests to participate in a night of dancing and fun with a theme of 1920's Casino.

Davies High School students explored a wide variety of potential career paths at the school's Career Day on Tuesday. Each student attended three breakout sessions to learn more about a specific potential career.

Third, fourth, and fifth graders at McKinley Elementary School read biographies during their library classes. They then shared interesting facts about the individuals they read about and decorated a snowman to represent their person.

Trollwood Mentorship Program student Terth Tuel held a capstone performance, titled "A Winter Extravaganza," to showcase everything she worked on and learned in the first semester. She received personal instruction from professional mentors in dancing, singing, and acting.
