Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the tragic loss of a brave Alberta Wildland firefighter this weekend. Their dedication to protecting the Jasper community is a testament to their courage and selflessness. We extend our deepest condolences to their loved ones during this time.
Today we are mourning the loss of one of our own. An Alberta Wildfire crew member was fatally injured yesterday while responding to the wildfire in Jasper. This morning we stood heartbroken with our partners as a procession passed by.
