Great point right here! One of the most overlooked aspects of a playersโ game. Be honestโฆโฆdo you take your throwing seriously?
Most important skill set for infielders? Throwing! โฆ Period. All else (hands/feet/etc) are irrelevant if you are not an elite thrower. This includes arm strength, but even more important is accuracy. Problem isโฆ less than 5% of all HS players are elite throwers. Likely 2%. This winter, when you start amping your arm up for spring seasons, I encourage players to put a serious emphasis on this part of their game. And make every throw of every drill with the importance of the last play of the state championship!
