Great to see Forests | An Open Access Journal from MDPI have chosen to promote our recent paper from our collaborative project called BAC-STOP – Bacterial Plant Diseases Programme.
Discover how forest managers in Britain value iconic oak trees and respond to the threat of Acute Oak Decline (AOD). Key insights: 📌 Oaks cherished for cultural and timber value 📌 Veteran & ancient trees prioritized for conservation 📌 Managers act to reduce AOD impact on valued oaks This study highlights the importance of understanding manager values to inform better disease monitoring, reporting, and management practices. 🔗 Read the full paper here: This is a peer reviewed research article based on research undertaken by Forest Research as part of the BAC-STOP project focus of saving oaks from Acute Oak Decline.
