Celebrating Mrs. Repetti - our first time Tennessee chaperone after 28 years at the Prep! Mrs. Repetti is retiring next week and took time during her final days at FP to chaperone this group. Thank You!

In 2013, Fordham Prep sponsored a house for the son of Peggy & Jerry Frogge. Since then, Peggy & Jerry have invited all groups to their farm for food, fishing, football and more. We’re so thankful for their hospitality.
A trip to Tennessee wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Cracker Barrel. The group has made it to the volunteer cabin and will be going through orientation for the week.
Quite the group effort preparing tonight’s dinner. Huge thanks to Mr. Ritter for cooking a true southern meal; pork chops & homemade applesauce, mac & cheese, twice baked potatoes, salad & vanilla cake with chocolate icing.
After a lovely night in Harrisburg, the remaining TN1 participants are at the airport and very ready to return to NYC! Gavin and Ashton now have shirts to commemorate the stay.
TN1 with Donna Miller, whose home we have been working on this week. Thanks to the many generous donors who have made the dream of home ownership a soon-to-be reality.
Now that all 2018 Christian Service Immersion trips are complete, a heartfelt thank you to all participants - students, alumni, teachers and past parents - for a very successful summer in Camden, Ecuador and TN. We raised over $240,000 and volunteered thousands of hours!
Since 1999,
@FordhamPrep
has built 35🏡 in Scott and Morgan County, TN. Of those homes, 8 were built on one road that the Town of Elgin named Fordham Lane in 2014.
Hey
@CrackerBarrel
, how many RTs to get free dinner for a bunch of students who traveled over 800 miles to help build houses for those in need in East Tennessee?
TN3: Tonight's update requires a 🧵
Three things came together for this evening.
1) Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of St. Ignatius, founder of the Society of Jesus.
Lunch today was hosted by Appalachia Habitat for Humanity with pulled pork, mac and cheese, & ice cream. Reid represented the group to present a check to Habitat Director Haley Terry to bring our summer donation total to $150,000!
In celebration of our CSI Program’s 25th anniversary, our TN5 this year is unique - the first-ever all-alumni trip to work with Appalachia Habitat for Humanity. The group spans 38 years of FP classes. Follow the group’s work here all week long.
And that’s a wrap for TN4. We’ve experienced the best of community, service, prayer and simplicity over the past week. Our “leave behind” is a wooden “Q” representing the bus trips listening to the local radio station.
TN1 has safely arrived at the volunteer lodge which we’ll call home for the next week. The kids are savoring the last minutes with their 📱 before being collected for the week.
TN3: Big thanks to the Frogge family for hosting us at their farm tonight! We had a BBQ, and our students from New York found out they're actually pretty good fisherman. 🐟
Tonight our group reflected on the first of the four “cornerstones” of the week - Simplicity. From no cell phones to simple meals, we are spending the week focusing on the things more important than material wealth and comfort
Every morning in Tennessee starts with a song and a prayer. Today, everyone woke up to “The Rising” by Bruce Springsteen. The prayer group then focused on the 4 pillars of the Christian Service Immersion Program; prayer, simplicity, community and service.
TN3: Good morning from Day 2! On the menu for breakfast: French toast & sausage links! The students are making sure to fill up so they will have all the energy they need to tackle today's tasks!
And the FP flag comes down at the lodge marking the end of 4 weeks of the Prep sending groups to partner with Appalachia Habitat for Humanity! Great job to all!
TN3: All of our students have left their mark on the hearts of the community here, and a few students were able to leave their mark on a piece of the home we're working on.
