imo eric's s3 arc isn't just about being young again, it's about being young NOW, in a world where harper sterns can be told by old white men that she's just like them. but he's the one who put her there. without eric there is no harper. sickening! amazing!
thinking about how eric's treatment of harper (and yasmin) is informed by him feeling his own age vs their youth but also by him having come up in a time when it was extremely hard for minorities in the industry. that's part of his underlying jealousy too... much to think about
