Today, we reached an agreement with Kanter Real Estate LLC, allowing for the purchase of 20k acres of critical wetlands within the Everglades Protection Area . This permanently ends oil & gas drilling in the area & represents the largest wetland acquisition in a decade.
(1/3) A Florida researcher working with DEP’s Coral Protection and Restoration Program has achieved a breakthrough in growing corals in nurseries. It’s an important advancement because propagating corals is still a relatively new science, and many species are hard to produce.
The 1st leatherback nest of the season was found on GTM Research Reserve in Ponte Verde Florida!
