In fact we enjoy a very good long-standing relationship with the council and liaise with them on lots of park matters. While it is always nice to have our work acknowledged we are never pleased to see our name or work being used to make party political points.

A campaign leaflet has recently gone out to residents mentioning our group and suggesting that we have been let down by Liverpool City Council. We'd like to point out that we had no prior knowledge of this article and that the opinion expressed in it is not our own.

An important message to all our supporters and park users. The Friends of Greenbank Park is run by volunteers from the community for the community. We pride ourselves in keeping out of any party politics.
