Sono fermamente convinto che la natura, rispettando le sue leggi fisiche, sia sempre un passo avanti: la fusione ne è un esempio emblematico. A differenza del principio fotoelettrico, che abbiamo dovuto prima scoprire e poi rendere operativo, in questo caso la natura ha già compiuto in parte il lavoro per noi. Sta a noi “tecnologizzarlo”. E non è forse proprio questo che dovrebbe distinguerci? La fusione è davanti a noi, sappiamo che esiste; in passato abbiamo ottenuto risultati straordinari con molte meno evidenze scientifiche in partenza.
