Now, when we say we are closing shop, it's not our bakery. It's our garden, because this is full-time work trying to grow food for your family. A work I take seriously as well as making videos to document what we learn. Telling stories via video is kinda fun. 😊

How I spent close to 6K cedis on my small intimate white wedding. This thread is for only people who want to downsize and have a simpler wedding, for the intimacy, or to save money or both. And this is how I did mine, not everything will work for you but you can apply sth.

I can't afford to run my bakery anymore. Our leaders' corruption killed my dream. I had just got my 1st employee, she worked for only 2 months and I had to let her go. Many Ghanaians that could afford baked goods can't anymore. I've been unemployed since Feb #OccupyJulorbiHouse

A 450kg of Soya Chunk cost c25 at Divine Organics Achimota mall. It fed my family of 3 for a week. It's high in protein and a good substitute for meat. Good on your pockets in these times, good for your health and then you indulge in expensive meat products sometimes. 🤌🏾

Accra's standard of living is so high like a developed country's, the difference is we don't get the benefits of a developed country, and the average Ghanaian doesn't get to earn enough money to live. Don't know how much longer people can live like this before they break?

How to spend less in Accra. A Thread. 1. Transportation is killer, use a bus sometimes, take a loading taxi instead of Uber, if you have a car, sometimes park it, and use Uber or public transport, especially if you're going somewhere you can easily go with public transport.

Looks like Ghana has become the best place to stay for only Politicians, rich people, Expats n Foreigners. You discover a nice clothing brand, that recycles clothes from Kantanmantu, and makes nice designs, and it's priced in Euros or dollars. Is there any left for we Ghanaians?

7. MY WEDDING CAKE I baked my cake, as a baker on @LorraineStitch I was eager to take the challenge n it saved me lots of money. For people who can't bake a cake, you can have a baker make a simple rustic cake, but don't say it's for a wedding, once you mention wedding, price 🚀

@notcapnamerica My takeaway is that little kids are indeed terrorists 😁 that's why my partner and I decided to really wait and enjoy each other. The feelings does evolve from butterflies to actual real love, and real love is a conscious act, and yes there are days you won't feel like it.

How are y'all planning on getting married now? Remember it's a one day party with not much significance or impact after, trust me I know.🤭😌 It's not worth going broke for. 💸

Our biggest flex getting married was spending close to 6k on our white wedding, Covid-19 reducing our 50 guests plan to 20 including us, being blessed n gifted a small luncheon with our close friends and family, I can remember everyone who was there. Waking up the next day with

@t0nit0ne And "let your wives and husbands be widows and widowers"...love your enemies gone in the mud. No difference between some Christians and so called Witches and Wizards. Always using Touch not the Anointed out of context to effing scare people.

It's been exactly a year since my partner taught me how to swim and be comfortable in water, it took 2 lessons and I was swimming on my back happily, and we kept learning together and became better swimmers. For someone who saw a big body of water as danger, learning how...

No one can cancel Bread 🍞 😋 Not even Bread made in a Bread Maker for people who have zero Baking skills and for burnt out bakers like me. It was super easy to make, just measure out ingredients, dump it in the pan, the machine does all the work; kneading, proofing and baking.

The man who raised my partner was born today. 🥳 If you've met Tom, you've met his father, such wisdom he's passed down to him. He's a treasure to us, including his library of books, much to read and learn 📚. 😊 Prof John Edmund Collins 🥰

I found a really good fresh ramen recipe on Tiktok and just had to try it. The last time I tried making fresh ramen noodles, it was a fail. Too much baking soda left it tasting too eggy. But this recipe turned out to be perfect 😊

Last month we discovered some of our Sweet Potatoes were growing under our gravel. It's such an amazing resilient low maintenance plant. We haven't fertilised it in forever, it just keeps growing. Our harvest today weighed 2.8kg, damn we gotta grow some more. 😊 #organicfood

Another one 😁 I need all Nigerians and Ghanaians to gather here cos how many of us believed as kids these feathery things will give you Apollo(conjunctivitis)? We didn't even know they were seeds of this plant. They used to freak me out so much. 😭😅

One thing I'll advise is also advertise your wedding. Tell your friends, your parents' friends, suggest to them to give gifts in cash via momo, that's how you make a profit. 😁 We are still in a pandemic, it's a good excuse to have a small wedding n let everyone else join online.

If your partner is pushing for an extravagant wedding they are not ready to take care of, good luck to your relationship man, there's no winning here. You either break up or go ahead with it, live with it and resent said person.
