The FBI is a law enforcement agency - what does that have to do with national security? It's also been corrupt since the day it was founded - just look at its history. Its duties could easily be split up among other agencies and America would be better off for it. I'd argue that almost none of these agencies is integral to the running of our nation. USAID is a blatant CIA slush fund. The Department of Education is making our children stupider by the year. FEMA accomplishes next to nothing. The FBI should have been dissolved and its duties shifted to less corrupt agencies decades ago.The ATF mostly just violates people's 2nd amendment rights. I could go on.
