My neighbor when I was in elementary school introduced himself saying, "I could kill you if I wanted." I stared him down and was like, I'm not afraid to die, so I just said, "Cool" and he was always nice to me after that. Anyway he was locked up for attempted murder last I heard.

Friendly reminder bc this is rarely brought up in these - at least as of 2017, 75% of women dye their hair, whether that's a fun color, a "natural" color, or to cover up greys. Hairdye has an extremely long history and unnatural colors predate the US

I knew a girl who spent 40 dollars a meal to have olive garden delivered to the dorm rather than walk 8 minutes to any restaurant or fast food place that would've given her 3+ meals for that much. She told me she basically had "unlimited money" but then her parents made her stop.

It's because people (esp monolingual) mentally save words in an inefficient order that makes it harder to learn new and similar ones. You should save them by meaning THEN word to keep homonyms and homophones separate and save as .synonym (your mental file type).
