I think someone may want to tell Disneyland Paris that you can see the scalped head of the Jack Sparrow animatronic under refurbishment from the railroad…

Michael Jackson was a regular guest of Euro Disney for the first 5 years. Every stay he would reside in the Sleeping Beauty Suite of the Disneyland Hotel.
His signature under the grand piano was visible right up until it’s closure. I was lucky enough to see it for myself.
On April 12th 1993, Euro Disney celebrated its 1st birthday. 🎂
To celebrate, Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant was garnished like a big French pastry cake 🍰
Yeah. This has to stop.
What will it take for management to come to the table. How far does it have to go? This is a disaster.
Full support to every CM.

🏴☠️ Construction photos from the creation of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ at Euro Disney.
You can see the first drop, loading area, lift hill climb and the raised train track viewing tunnel under construction.

Extremely sad to hear of the passing of Malanda. 🪘
He was an opening day cast member and performed for 30 years with the African Tam-Tams. He was a staple presence at Disneyland Paris.
Michael Jackson’s signature under the grand piano inside the Disneyland Hotel’s sleeping beauty suite.
We can only hope this was saved during the refurbishment 😪

🎇 Happy new year everyone!
Image taken on April 10th 1992 for the the official opening of 5 of the resort’s 6 hotels and Festival Disney.
The show on Buena Vista Lake was called “La Féérie du Lac Enchanté,”.
1992 - 2022 🎉
Congratulations to all of the opening day cast members that are still at Disneyland Paris! They recreated this photo recently back on Main Street!
Images of the Zorro stunt show which occurred on the roof of Fuente Del Oro restaurant at Euro Disney.
The show ‘Zorro Under the Sign of Night’ ran from 1992 - 1993 but was ultimately cancelled by parks ops due to the crowds blocking guest flow.
🔥 ‘La Fontaine Spatio-Temporelle’ at the entrance to Discoveryland once had dramatic smoke and fire effects.
These effects however only lasted a handful of months following opening in April ‘92.

The ‘Spark Gap Coaster’ was a planned tubular coaster for Euro Disney’s Discoveryland during the Discovery Bay project.
It was to be located next to Star Tours as shown in the attached land layout.
This photo sort of perfectly captures how Frontierland was designed in cinematic widescreen, like the old time western movies.
Genius work by Jeff Burke and Co. 🏜️
Donald Duck, followed by scores of ducks, waves to visitors of Euro Disneyland in 1994, for the Donald Duck parade to mark the 70th birthday of the Disney character and the start of the Spring season 🌸 🦆
The continued self sabotage of this area.
In this space you have already stepped into Main Street USA. The architecture, the music, the steam train that passes you by (and once the sign itself) all took you there.
This area is NOT the esplanade, that’s out front folks.
A congratulatory plaque presented to Euro Disney Resort Cast by the cast of Tokyo Disneyland.
This was gifted for April 12th 1992. You can view this plaque in City Hall still.
Investigating the abandoned ‘Anasazi Ruins’ playground of Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe last week.
All of this is accessible ‘on stage’ but you sadly can no longer enter the area.
🥨 Stromboli’s Snack Cart was an original opening day snack location selling pretzels and other similarly themed treats.
The snack cart actually lasted a good many years before disappearing a few years back and never returning.

On 26 May 1994, the Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy TGV station opened. This train station has now become the biggest TGV hub in France, serving 54 French and international cities daily.
To celebrate its opening, a huge 300 meter long paper train traveled down Main Street, U.S.A. 🚊
Some (now) rare characters on parade at Euro Disney in 1994.
Gadget, Launchpad, Big Bag Wolf, Br’er Fox, Little John, Friar Tuck, and Prince John - all now very rare at Paris!
The ‘Solaria’ structure used to stand in the scenes of Autopia from opening day.
The structure slowly was unkept and faded/rusted and was eventually permanently removed around 2011.

I hope you all see and remember which accounts publicised and supported cast members during this time… and which are deafeningly silent.
We see you 👀

EuroDisneyland guide map from 1992.
A unique and rare look at the park in its opening day form. Many things missing compared to as we know it today that came in later expansion.
Original 1992 EuroDisney licence plates including some amazing hotel specific ones!
We miss hotel specific merchandise!

Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe when opening in 1992 featured the ‘Anasazi Ruins playground’.
The playground resembled the ruins of an ancient Anasazi village. The Anasazi ruins are the modern day remnants of the first known civilization in Santa Fe.
🤠 Chaparral Stage in its original form at EuroDisney.
Featuring Br’er Bear, Big Al and Chip n Dale having a Frontierland Hoedown with guests.
This is extremely rare to find an image of the stage in it’s original state so thank you to

for sharing this gem.
Just to put this into perspective;
This attraction now has 4 points of entry for guests. Standby, Single Rider, Accessibility and Premier Access.
All from an attraction that couldn’t sustain good operations with just standby previously.
This is a disaster.
💳 Disney Premier Access has just opened at Crush’s Coaster, with the first slot at 2pm.
It’s priced at €13, similar to the top tier attraction for today (Big Thunder Mountain and Hyperspace Mountain). If it remains in that tier, it could go up to €18 on peak days.
Soon we will begin work on an archival website to try and document as much as possible early EuroDisney and lost pieces of the parks history.
In 1992 not much was photographically captured - and what was is not readily available.
We plan to create an archival resource.

She was loved by so many and was a direct threat for Chapek and he knew it. Absolutely disgusting what happened to Catherine. Bring her back.
