Played this at my weekly, never really liked the shelldock plan but let me tell you against the bean decks, shelldock/emrakul/boseiju/oracle/cavern is a really solid pile.

Been on a bit of a heater from March 31-May 31 exclusively playing Black Saga Storm in challenges. I’m out this weekend so done until MH3. Excited to see what happens and what combo decks rise to the top.

Apologize for the delay, this likely will only be good until MH3 drops when we move to a green splash but for anyone asking here is a map with boots. Remember things like empty is better on play than draw/if you see leyline of the void board in answers etc.

Went 3-0-1 at my local, Red prison, maverick(black splash), and Black saga storm. Drew the last round because I was tired. Unsure how good it is, but desire certainly is fun to cast.

Finished 4-0 in the prelim. Decided to try a grapeshot as a way to win through veil same turn with song facilitating. I like the mana and saga so much in this version I’m not sure it’s worth adding more colors. Helmline in the board may not be worth the slots.

Went 3-0 at my local with this. Unfortunately some of my new cards(more frogs and the barrowgoyfs) didn’t arrive yet so had to make some changes fortunately that didn’t come up. Petaling out frog is really powerful.

Made T8 of todays challenge with

’s list minus the mystic sanctuary for a second leyline in the board. Matchups below. Still unsure about the basic swamp but other than that the deck felt amazing. Confident I made some mistakes in my loss in the Swiss and quarters.

Definitely sad to lose G3 for the 5-0 in an LCQ, a few mistakes on mulligan decisions, but overall had some really awesome matches.

All the griefing aside we are missing the important questions. I will echo, you can never have enough advance notice on a trip like eternal weekend. My favorite event of the year and as a dad to a toddler and a full time job short notice can prevent me from attending.
I never understood why Eternal Weekend events get scheduled and published so late every year, we know the days of Magiccons, RCs, PTs, Worlds many months ahead, why can’t it be the same with Eternal Weekends?

. Made some changes mostly got rid of the spoils because it didn’t seem good and changed surgicals to leyline helm. If you dodge mono R or win the die roll this deck is reasonable against pretty much everything. Saga/bowman for the grind and beseech echo for the turbo wins.

Public service announcement - (probably not very controversial?) this card is really messed up and if you aren’t playing some in your 75 of most blue decks in legacy at this point you are probably wrong.

Finished 9th with Doomsday Frog Tamiyo in the showcase, played 74/75 same cards as

who ended 6-2 as well. Deck is awesome, give it a try. Need to strengthen up my tempo skills to win 1 more UB mirror next time.

Snagged another 🏆 with DDFT, few flex slots between the main and board that I’m planning on trying some more things but mostly happy. Long goodbye has been pretty good so far.

Currently where I’m sitting for the list. Song helps fix some gy interaction problems namely leyline. Most leyline decks aren’t FOV, can also kill through veil with song>draw deck>bowmaster>boots>wheel a few times and attack. Will update mapping soon.

Got T4 at a local Win a Dual tournament today with this list. Our paper meta is weird so sideboard is a bit different than what I normally play. Have been off daze for a while unsure if it’s correct. Deck is still awesome.

Some people I’ve been talking to voiced some opinions about answers to combo decks getting stronger over time in Legacy making it harder to play, and that they are losing a lot more pointing at consign/bauble most recently. Typed up my perspective, as I mostly play combo.

Ordered a foil onslaught polluted delta recently to complete my playset on TCG and it was fake. 😬 trying to pass that off through a platform with 100% buyer protection is wild. They threw in a collector booster that I opened though so guess I’m the real winner? 🤷♂️

Having a blast with this deck. If you like doomsday but acknowledge not scamming is likely a mistake right now give it a shot. Really just trying to have fun in a format likely to change sooner rather than later. Still not 100% on the leylines, frog and barrowgoyf really strong.

Today was pretty wild. Disappointing 0-2 in the EW MTGO event to start early this morning. I then ran a 4-0 into 4-2 to get 9th place in the challenge. Last I found out there was a local win a dual near where I live and I took down the tournament!!!! Still loving Doomsday.

Ending in the top 5 was cool. I think what was more cool was how many different decks I played to a trophy than last season. Riddlesmith, karn echos, Newton elves, UB reanimator, sneak and show, init, DOOMPO, turbo DD, and Tony Black saga storm. Also I might like combo too much.

Definitely concerned with them choosing to wait for MH3 to deal with Rescaminator. I have a bad feeling that they either will wait longer to address it than the 24th, or won’t do enough because with MH3, the replacement card pool is scary deep and masks the depth of the problem.

I know we lack a lot of data, but I would say the format is looking better than a lot of people give it credit for. While Frog/Eldrazi/Painter/maybe Nadu are at the top of the format, there are quite a few different flavors of frog and certainly more choices than pre grief.
