After an investigation by EPD’s Major Collision Investigation team and Lane County Medical Examiner, Pedro Chavarin, Jr. , was arrested at 4 p.m. today, June 19, and charged with Manslaughter in the First Degree
The deceased passenger is identified as Fotu Tuli Leiato, age 21.
The driver of the vehicle is Pedro Chavarin Jr., age 22.

911 was called regarding shots fired at the Lane County Fairgrounds. Eugene Police responded and two people are in custody. Two others have what appear to be non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
