@MrZachG Yes! When I plan my lessons I plan how often I need to reach for my clicker, my marker, or turn the projector off to do a little song. I teach kindergarten and I need to plan every moment carefully.

@jennivanrees @SyllaSense Yes, they are. Mine are at school but I'll see if I can create a document this weekend. @SyllaSense may already have a scope for them.

@MadeUpTeacher1 @effortfuleduktr @MrZachG I teach kindergarten and I find I use all of the ideas you listed as well as a bit of performance. When I teach it's like a comedy show sometimes (only sometimes -- who has the energy every day?).

@hastieteaches @LaraS_EDU @sarahpowellphd @rastokke I agree Mike! It doesn't sit right with me yet but I attribute this to me not learning enough about it....yet.

@MmeLockhartLDSB I'm going to listen to this one because I am a K teacher and this is very important. Also, where were you skiing? Looks like fun!

@MmeLockhartLDSB @JamesAFurey Not only is it costly to do this learning after a B. Ed but it is also time consuming. I know plenty of teachers who simply don't have the time to enroll in after school courses due to family obligations.

@nadine1osborne @IDA_Ontario @MsBrossLearn @NathanielRSwain @MrZachG I too was rushing back from tutoring to get on this webinar. I missed the first few minutes but it was a great session!

@hastieteaches @ONlit_social So true! I feel like we are starting to get somewhere with literacy but not yet with math.

@formermingo @MmeLockhartLDSB @tiffanyphogan Yes, I do something similar as well. I have a few children I am worried about so I need to delve a little deeper so I have some data to show the people involved.

@Kathy_Rice @thismomloves @MrsPallone @LizzieBTrask @KateLyonPR @MmeLockhartLDSB Yes, they matter! I have never worked so hard in my life than the last several years as a K teacher. (I've been teaching K-8 for 20 years.)

@MrZachG That is not me. I am a kindergarten teacher in Canada and I am doing everything I can to set my students up for success in Gr 1. But I also balance the academics with playing in the snow, drawing, playdough, and just playing.

@Great3rdGrade @KJWinEducation Same here. I was disillusioned during teacher's college because I KNEW I had no understanding of how to teach. Now, I spend my spare time learning how to teach reading, how to be a better teaching overall, and how to support my colleagues.

@CatherineCook58 @Educhatter @gregbradyTO @dyslexiaON Getting the support is certainly the key point but I don't know if it is happening.
