I went to the same high school as Vallas and I hope our similarities end there. He’s endorsed by the FOP, is against teaching actual history, and is either racist or hires racist to mange his social media. The list goes on. He cannot be our next mayor.
A Tribune review of his social media found his account liked a series of tweets that used racist language, supported controversial police tactics like “stop and frisk” or insulted Mayor Lori Lightfoot in personal terms.

15 years ago I volunteered in Springfield at the launch of the #Obama08 campaign. It was also the beginning for many of us to go on to become lifelong organizers & advocates on campaigns, in government and non-profits. I’m always grateful to @BarackObama for such a start.
