Detach the fucking instance. Create something new. Remember the spirit of design. Not the system. Challenge your corporate silo. Talk to your developers. Say no to your PM. Create something great. For Christ’s sake get back to making great. The MVP crowd works brunch. You don’t.
Sneak 👀 Friday. New

I’ll start to share product updates too in the future. So much to look forward to in 2022. 🍕
🚨 I'm hiring a lot of design roles (Visual/UI/UX) across Home timeline, Search, Explore and Interests. This is an exciting time at

If you are a designer that wants to help me have some fun with what it means to order pizza (and 🍕 adjacent noshables) in a way that supports small businesses thrive, my DM’s are open!
Would I be in any legal jeopardy releasing all of the amazing design and strategy work the folks

Asking for a friend.
Dear young designers,
Consider pivoting to HVAC repair. $200 per hour. Minimum 2 hours. You never have to hear "can you fit more above the fold" again. And this world is only getting hotter.
BTW, my HVAC is out. 🙃
After a little over a year focused on Twitter, I decided to resign to a) focus on myself for a bit and b) work on something that aligns more w/some of my core interests (in this case SMBs + food). What’s next should be a hell of a lot of fun. More on that later. ❤️
This is the byproduct of the product design/management strategy that pushes half-baked products for a few data points. An over-wrought practice where too many test underdeveloped solutions, groping blindly for signal while ignoring the glaring flaws.
In the realm of physical
NEW VIDEO - Rabbit R1: Barely Reviewable
This is the pinnacle of a trend that's been annoying for years: Delivering barely finished products to win a "race" and then continuing to build them after charging full price. Games, phones, cars, now AI in a box
A new chapter begins Monday. I’ll be joining
@OurSiberia
as a Partner of Design. Stoked to get back to the design & innovation space. I miss working with smart folks and clients who care most about great work.
As a designer (and an old one) having fun at work really is as
3 months ago I began the process of unwinding myself from
@firstborn_nyc
. A global pandemic and a financial crisis seemed like the perfect time to figure out what’s next. For 11 years I worked w/ some of the best in the world...how lucky is that!
Happy the new site is live. Clean and simple with just a touch of fancy...cuz we fancy sometimes. Some optimizations underway. Most importantly it's nice to share some of our more recent work. Will add more soon. Nice work everyone.
At the end of last year, after two impactful years at Slice building a strong design team and culture, I decided to say 👋. Been lucky enough in my 25-year career to be able to make principled decisions when needed, and now it’s time to explore what’s next in life!
pet peeve: If you ask a candidate to prepare an 30 minute presentation (and accept/join the meeting) you should respect their time enough to watch attentively with your camera on.
Trying to set my 75+ year old father in-law up with Instagram and I can’t NOT unsee the fact that he has PornHub and something called Boobspedia bookmarked.

He spearheaded the entire takeover back while he was still Chairman of the Board. I mean, I sat in no shortage of new team onboardings where he would tell new tweeps “if I could do it over again I would never have made this a company” (he would never give the protocol context).
I’m vaxded. Boosted. And mask. But y’all—what I’m seeing in BK has me realizing the wave that is coming is HUGE. It will be bigger than anything…and all you anti-vax / booster-lazy are about to get smacked. 🌊
I’m in tears. I’m dead actually.
My father-in-law (he’s nearly 80) got some new jeans. Accidental skinny jeans. Tried to tough it up but had to call the ambulance because he was stuck and lost blood circulation! 🤣
This is the most Larry David shit I’ve ever heard of.

Taking a two week vacation. I’m not bringing a laptop. I can’t tell you the last time that has happened. Oh…and it’s our anniversary. Not to shabby.
Next stop Milan!
Hyped on all the big launches this month

OMG. It happened. It finally happened.
The dog got diarrhea during the night.
The Roomba started its morning cycle.
The Roomba schmeared the 'rhea EVERYWHERE.
Oh lord the smell.
It was a catastrophe.
And one only my partner could clean.
Best research in the biz. And it’s free.

checkout took me too Russ Pizza. It’s a Greenpoint, BK institution and has been part of the community for decades. Best part is we know the family—the owner’s daughter tutors my son. Support small business y’all.
