being a rule nazi is lame af, some team literally showed up 12 minutes late against us in the same tournament and we let them play it out (and 3-0 us) instead of being lame about that rule, just play the damn game

Depends when they dc tbh, if they do it late so the match counts for the winners that's ok (and it gives them time to try to learn from struggling against players above their level), but doing it in the first minute kinda robs the other team of a potential win/cash/XP

As long as this game pays out virtually nothing in prize money, I refuse to force myself to play weapons/strategies that I find completely unenjoyable even if they're objectively "better". Why would I play spammy k52 when I don't enjoy it and won't win big prizes anyway.

If Nintendo is gonna force us to play turf for a weekend then I should be able to spawn camp the hell out of casuals if I want to 🙄 if you only play the game for splatfest then maybe don't expect to hang with the people that ACTUALLY play the game

Left Helix on good terms, ended up disbanding altogether. With carrot on a break and chase leaving I think it's the best thing for me to do. I'm gonna focus on pickups/trying to get into +3 and also making some more connections. Not interested in trying out for teams right now

This is why the comp players bullying casuals narrative doesn't make sense. Casuals can be real assholes sometimes (see the spawn camping debates)
Do people also comment shit like that on youtube videos by pro players in other games than Splatoon?

Hot take (or maybe not, idk): S2 had by far the best maps and it's not even close, if this game had ported the exact same maps we already had in 2 it would be instantly better. Outside of piranha ancho v and hagglefish the only good maps in splat history are S2 maps

Low level seems like it gets more attention than high level because once players reach high level and stay there for a while, eventually they realize this game isn't worth grinding constantly anymore and they slowly wean themselves off it, for low level the drive is still there

That's not a bug, it's designed as counterplay to tacticooler but because respawn punisher comes with the downside of punishing the user too, it also impacts your qr/special saver

Kraken: Infinite HP, keeps the ball upon ending, can cancel it's own knockback, can reliably kill without ending
It's comparable only in terms of strategy (everyone jump to someone at basket), not in terms of balance/counterplay

After a year and a half of grinding, I've finally reached twitch affiliate! This is a really big step for me and I just wanna thank all the people that helped me get here by watching the stream, playing with me, etc. I hope this is only the beginning 👀

If people hate squid bagging the big brain play is not to make fun of them for disliking it it's to let them get tilted to make it easier to beat them 😎 (ig in some cases the former can help you do the latter)

It's not that fun, attackers can't really win without the ultra thing and you can just camp mid and then push when they feed and die for it, which as a defender isn't super fun either tbh

Why do people want zones only? It's the least interesting mode to watch, just charge specials and retake, hold as long as you can until the enemy gets specials, rinse and repeat. And the timer ticks the same speed whether you go 2 down or get wiped.

I hate this community's discourse around game balance so much, I was told I was throwing for playing vshot instead of splash in early game and now all of a sudden it's a braindead broken weapon with zero counterplay, make it make sense???

What I hate the most about this SAC thing is that 4D was allowed to play the entire season without incident. If SAC wants to claim that they care so much about the rules, maybe they should communicate them beforehand instead of saying "oh btw" at the end of the season

I feel like a lot of this bliss stuff could be cleared up if we knew more about what he's been doing since coming back other than just madhouse's support for him. A statement from him or any evidence other than just us having to take someone's word that "he's changed".
