#HourOfCode is one of my absolute favorite times of year! Pre-K did a great job and @BaileyNormann and I are now having a blast so far working with all K-5 classes for the event. More pictures and videos to come!
Our Pre-K students kicked off Hour of Code last week! They had a great time learning how to program Cubetto robots to go to different locations of a map. Thank you to @EphesusITF Mrs. Anderson for leading this special event! @chccs @primotoys @CHC_PSF

Combining art and tech was so much fun. Our 5th graders created some really interesting and, in some cases, complex designs and animations!
Last week our 5th graders created light matrix animations using @Sphero robots during art thanks to a collaboration between Ms. Murphy and Mrs. Anderson. @ephesusartroom @EphesusITF @chccs @CHC_PSF

Love collaborating with @BaileyNormann to create multifaceted lessons like this! Reading + SEL + computer science + movement all rolled into one 😍 @EphesusElem @chccs
K students have been prepping for Hour of Code by doing unplugged activities with librarian Ms. @BaileyNormann + @EphesusITF Mrs. Anderson. Last week they read Grumpy Monkey, learned some basic vocabulary, and coded dance computer programs using movements from the book. @chccs

Love being able to facilitate opportunities like this for my students and staff. @LeeRingerWx was fantastic to coordinate with, differentiated for the various levels of students, and was an engaging presenter. Highly recommend!
Thank you to meteorologist @LeeRingerWx from @SpecNews1RDU for talking with all of our K/2/3/5 students about weather! Keep an eye out during tomorrow morning's Weather on the 1s to see a special shoutout to our school. Thanks to @EphesusITF Mrs. Anderson for organizing! @chccs

It warmed my heart so much to read over these before sending them out. I hope they can provide some comfort to those impacted and am grateful for Ag in the Classroom offering the opportunity.
Lots of cards created by our Roadrunners will soon be headed to Western NC communities affected by Hurricane Helene. Thank you @AgClassroom for coordinating this effort! @chccs

Teamwork makes the dream work! This celebration wouldn't have been successful without the support of all of our classroom teachers and assistants who implemented activities each day.
It’s #DigitalCitzenshipWeek! Students will be learning to be safe+responsible when using tech all week w/ activities curated by @EphesusITF Mrs. Anderson. Ms. @BaileyNormann has also put together a special section in the library for students to learn more. @CommonSenseEd @chccs

Such a fun activity! After building and labeling, students took a picture of their Lego bug in @Seesaw and added a recording explaining which category their bug fit into and why. @BaileyNormann @chccs
Our kindergarteners have been learning all about bugs in language arts and made this gorgeous display, so Ms. @BaileyNormann (librarian) and Mrs. Anderson @EphesusITF decided to have the students show what they know by building and labeling Lego bugs in the library! @chccs

One of the best parts of my job is providing engaging, meaningful experiences to our students. The day was filled with joy and they were already begging for him to come back before he'd even left. Thank you for spending the day with us! @ace_creatives @chccs @EphesusElem
Adam Constantine of @ace_creatives visited yesterday to share about his digital marketing company, time as a pro basketball player in Europe, and more. He even spent some time at recess playing basketball. Thanks for spending the day with us, AC! @chccs
