These are my favorite type of notes to come up with in the 2 weeks leading up to the Super Bowl. Mahomes has an average time to throw of 2.50 seconds over the last 4 games...nearly unbeatable in his career when he gets it out quick.

Jalen Hurts will be the first QB to start multiple Super Bowls for an NFC team since Russell Wilson with the 2013-14 Seahawks. Since 2013 there have been 10 different starting QBs for NFC teams in the Super Bowl, and only 4 representing the AFC (Mahomes, Brady, Peyton, Burrow).

Mike McCarthy's first NFL assistant job was as a quality control assistant under Marty Schottenheimer on the 1993 Chiefs. Now Marty's son Brian takes over as the Cowboys head coach after working under McCarthy in Dallas for the last 3 seasons.

Why would you not take the timeout at the 20-second mark when the sack/fumble ended? At least give yourself a chance to get out of bounds on a 3rd down play and kick a FG. Odd.

Dare I say… Maybe I’m just numb, but it’s actually not so cold at Arrowhead right now that it should have a major impact on the game. Currently 21 degrees with some sun shining through. But more reasonable than plenty of other January games.
