Outage update: equip switching efforts has allowed Hydro One & Entegrus to restore power to approx. 1/2 of Ridgetown and approx 600 customers in North Chatham inc the hospital. Both sets of crews are in the field working to complete further switching to restore what we can.
All available crews from Chatham-Kent, St. Thomas and Strathroy are working to restore all affected Entegrus customers. Due to significant damage, many customers may experience an extended outage. We are working as quick as safely possible & apologize for the inconvenience.

is experiencing a widespread outage due to a fallen tree bringing down several lines and poles. There are 4,750 custs w/out power. Crews from Strathroy, Chatham & St Thomas have been dispatched to make repairs. Power to the majority is expected in approx 3 hrs.
National media sources report that the ON Government will announce today TOU rates will be lowered to the off-peak overnight and weekend rate of 10.1 cents per kWh for the next 45 days. Currently mid-peak rates are 14.4 cents and on-peak rates are 20.8 cents. Please stay tuned.

Hydro One has informed Entegrus that the widespread outage has originated directly from their transmission station "Kent-TS". Hydro One and Entegrus are assessing the extent of the issue and no ETR is available yet. We will continue to update you as info becomes avail. thank you

TILBURY: The entire town of Tilbury is without power due to loss of supply. Hydro One has crews patrolling to investigate. Will provide updates as they become available.

1 of 3 Ontario utilities have been working closely with our association and the Minister of Energy, to bring forth the concerns of our customers regarding Time of Use rates. We have been assured that the Province is looking into ways to provide relief to the rate payers.
