This is well put and something that I apply visually to my theatre work. Give the audience a couple of specific visually striking moments they will wally away and tell people about.
You need great scenes. Kick-ass, emotional, hilarious, horrifying, sexy, romantic scenes. So many screenplays just go along. Something happens. Then something else. And then something after that. Stop doing this. The plot is just an excuse for what we want: great scenes.
