Second World War spy, Noor Inayat Khan is the latest person to receive an English Heritage blue plaque. 🔵 Khan was Britain's first Muslim war heroine in Europe and was posthumously awarded the George Cross in 1949.

A missing piece of one of the @EH_Stonehenge stones has been returned! ➡️ The stone 'core' was kept by Robert Phillips, who worked on the archaeological excavations in 1958. He returned it from America, just before his 90th birthday.

Renowned for her service in the Special Operations Executive, Noor Inayat Khan was the first female radio operator sent into Nazi-occupied France. She was killed at Dachau concentration camp in 1944, having revealed nothing to her captors, not even her real name.

We were honoured to welcome The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall to @EHTintagel today where His Royal Highness officially opened its footbridge. In crossing, HRH became the first Duke of Cornwall in 500 years to enter the castle the way its builders intended! @ClarenceHouse

This is the only surviving monastic fishery building in England ✨🐟. Meare Fish House was the residence of the official who was in charge of Glastonbury Abbey's fishery. It also provided facilities for fish-salting and drying.🎣. 📌 Somerset

Today is a landmark day for Stonehenge. Permission has been given to place the busy and noisy A303 road that passes the stones within a tunnel. Stonehenge will finally be reconnected with the prehistoric landscape in which it sits, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
