There are effectively zero safeguards around coercion, allowing a controlling spouse/partner to get away with murder. This bill needs to be voted out and replaced with one that has proper safeguards.
Before the Leadbeater bill's second reading, I co-wrote, with distinguished barristers and academics, a memorandum about the legal aspects of the bill for MPs. We have decided to publish it. Link in the next tweet.

No one should rate or review a DNF. But reviews are for readers, not writers, and warning readers against a poorly written or edited book is a service. Not all reviewers get a choice over what they review & sometimes get books they are not the target market for.
Do you do 1-star ratings? I never reviewed or rated books before I became an author. Now that I am one, it doesn’t feel right shitting on other people’s work. The lowest I’ve gone is 3 stars. DNFs, I don’t rate or review.
