@Ravarora1 @kendricklamar I really liked him at ACL. The half-time show was a challenge because so many of the words were changed, and Samuel L Jackson as the voice of seemingly white opprobrium bugged me. Willing to hear other perspectives though.

And honestly, the Canadian one was fantastic. The next level for us is 3 full days on the ice track, and after that four days, on 8 km (basically rally) track. And just so much easier, plus the hotel and food were pretty darn good. Honestly, a super experience. And with the Canadian dollar? :)

We have a cayenne gts from 2014 that is fantastic. But because we needed a third row for kids, it now lives in Utah and I have a very boring white Mercedes gls 450. I keep doing these things hoping my husband will want to buy something new so I can have his 911 cabriolet. He is proving very resistant to temptation :)

@thomasmidleton @ianmSC Yeah. It is just harder to get to for us, and is always sold out. The funny thing about the Canada one is, it doesn’t show up on the main Porsche site, and the site is super wonky, so it doesn’t fill up. I kind of don’t want them to fix it :) but just so you know :)

@ianmSC You need to try the Birmingham, AL one. Just more time on the track—all 2-3 days driving time. Once you are past the master’s RS, they have these things that are full days on the track for 2-4 days with insane analytics. And the barber track is just fantastic.

It’s not terrifying at all. You go so slow because of the ice. Max speed, 65 km/hr with huge soft snowbanks around. It was funny, a guy there made a comment that he wished his wife had the courage to do it, and I thought it was funny, because it is just not scary at all—or dangerous. You don’t even have to wear helmets. I did comment to my husband that it was interesting that there were more women in this—about 10%, vs 1-2% for other track-based racing things we have done. He noted that this was less scary, and that you can’t kill yourself. And he is right. You really couldn’t even hurt yourself with this, even if you tried. And FWIW, I do get a little scared every time we do the track things—you hit close to 140 mph, and then dive into a turn at a full break and turn, whilst your back is sliding out, and there are turns where if you screwed up, someone behind you could hit you, even in these more controlled environments (but honestly, I think they are relatively safe).

@districtai @ianmSC That looks pretty cool. I hadn’t really looked into the high performance trucks. We have ab 8 cylinder cayenne GTS, but it is hard to use it that way, despite pretty incredible capabilities. Maybe in another decade :)

@ianmSC I know you are into this. You should look at the Porsche Canada ice experience. It is fantastic.
