We need to stop calling strategy strategy. No-one wants 'strategy'. What they want is effectiveness. Results. Change. Think of strategy as 'effectiveness planning' and it helps both clients and creative teams get it. How could anyone say 'No, we don't need that!' ?

@markpollard As a 49 yo strategist with a over 20 years in the role, you'll have to forgive me for disagreeing. It's just not my experience – or what I see in my world. If your data refers to employed roles in ad agencies, that's not the whole story. (I have never worked in an ad agency.)
