Several downtown DC Metro stations are closed, so people have to battle airport traffic or the Metro shutdowns for busy holiday travel. One suggestion: get dropped off at a Virginia Metro station or Yellow Line and take Metro if youโre heading to Dulles or Reagan National.
Washington National Reagan DCA holiday travel report. Donโt take a car or you might be walking from the George Washington Parkway. People are getting out and walking. Nightmare scenario. I took an Uber to Foggy Bottom. Tour buses blocked some of the way. Got to @wmata and had no wait for a train. A few stations are closed / platforms closed today: Farragut, Metro Center have limited service. Few others. Look it up before you head out. No one in line at Delta so I checked my bag and flew through security. I have that new Delta Digital ID and I was through security in about 1 minute 30 seconds. The airport is quiet now, but wonโt be soon. Staff at restaurant says itโs been slow service last 72 hours which was strange to them (and me). P.S. guy next to me just ordered a Jameson neat. At 07:45AM. HAPPY HOLIDAYS AMERICA
