my capstone project is complete. I have delved into the history of Hamden and the ways in which the racism of the past has left lingering scars on the town today.
I am so proud of this piece. Check it out :-)
Decades after the end of Jim Crow, the scars of racism and redlining remain in Hamden’s neighborhoods. Activists in the primarily white community of Spring Glen are now taking a stand to show that zoning reform is a part of making Black Lives Matter.
